Brain Injury Alliance of South Dakota
The Brain Injury Alliance of South Dakota is a statewide organization of individuals, families and organizations that educates the public, advocates to improve the quality of life for people with brain injury and their families, and supports brain injury prevention programs. They can help you locate services, supports, and agencies that can assist you in meeting your needs and reaching your goals. They also work to try to improve services and make them available to everyone with a with brain injury. In addition we provide and support training on brain injury in South Dakota.
Sanford USD Medical Center
The Sanford USD Medical Center offers is a 21-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit that provides Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Recreational Therapy. Nursing services are available 24 hours, 7 days per week. Rehabilitation services focus on assisting patients with mobility (walking and transfers), activities of daily living, and speech and cognitive activities. The Medical Center also has a team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists that are dedicated to working with children.
