Avera McKennan offers both inpatient and outpatient services to adults, children, and adolescents with a brain injury. The Avera McKennan Inpatient Rehabilitation Program is meant for patients who require rehabilitation following an injury, surgery or a medical decline which interferes with their physical, cognitive, psychological, social and/or vocational functioning. The 37-bed program is located within Avera McKennan Hospital. The rehabilitation unit offers private rooms with a community dining room and social area. Specialized nursing and therapeutic services are provided. Avera McKennan Outpatient Rehabilitation Therapy Clinics provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services to individuals of all ages. The Avera Neuroscience Institute evaluates and treats a range of musculoskeletal and neurological injuries, from acute to chronic, and pre/post-surgical conditions.
