The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System serves over 50,000 veterans. Additionally, it provides support to readjustment counseling centers and VA National Cemeteries along the Gulf Coast. The Health Care System is a part of VISN 16, South Central VA Health Care Network. The mental health program provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact emotional well-being. Services available include Hospital Acute Psychiatry, Psychosocial Residential Rehabilitation Treatment (PPPTP), SADP Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Outpatient Mental Health, General Mental Health, PSD Treatment, Smoking Cessation, Substance Abuse Treatment, Mental Health Intensive Case Management, and Day Treatment.
In addition to the main facility, services are offered in four community-based outpatient clinics located in: Mobile, AL, Eglin, FL, Pensacola, FL, and Panama City, FL.
