Maryland NeuroRehab Foundation (MNRF) is a neuro-rehabilitation program for patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, or other non-progressive neurological conditions. Patients in the brain injury rehabilitation program receive care on the same unit as other rehabilitation patients with a range of diagnoses and needs, but the brain injury program remains a separate program. The MNRF inpatient brain injury program uses interventions for safety, environmental control, treatment intervention, behavior management, and other aspects of care based on the patient's level of function, which is estimated by the Ranchos Los Amigos Scale of Cognitive Function. Each patient is assessed prior to entering the program and assigned a Ranchos score. This Ranchos score guides development of the initial treatment plan. This plan is then modified and tailored to become more individualized upon feedback from the clinical staff. The MNRF Day Treatment Program provides intensive, outpatient-based neurorehabilitation. MNRF's Day Treatment program is based on a team approach. Patients and their families work together with the rehabilitation staff to help the patients achieve their goals and gradually return to activities they enjoy. Total Rehab Care at Robinwood Professional Center offers outpatient rehabilitation for patients with a range of neurologic injury or illnesses. The outpatient program is located in the Robinwood Professional Center. Our facility has a warm, homelike setting, which includes private treatment rooms, a comfortable lounge, bright gyms, a heated pool, and an apartment for practicing activities of daily living.
