ResCare Premier Illinois

ResCare Premier Illinois is a sixteen bed residential facility that services for adults with acquired brain injury. The facility is located in a modern, residential neighborhood off Main Street in Downers Grove Illinois. It is centrally located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, just under one hour from downtown. The Residential Rehabilitation Program offers transitional services for individuals emerging from the acute stage of rehabilitation. We work closely with several rehabilitation facilities in the Chicago area, including Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, Paulson Rehabilitation at Hinsdale Hospital, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Treatment plans are individualized to each participant's specific needs, and discharge planning begins upon admission. The Residential Rehabilitation Program focuses on helping individuals return to independent living, and other options are explored if independent living proves not to be a viable goal. The program provides family members training and support services, and will work with the participants' employers to evaluate and make recommendations for return-to-work. Work adjustment training and job coaching are available through ResCare or through a referral to the Office of Rehabilitation Services (ORS), under the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS).
