Nevada Community Enrichment Program (NCEP) is one of Accessible Space, Inc.’s housing programs. NCEP is specifically for people with traumatic or acquired brain injury. Candidates must be medically stable and able to tolerate several hours of therapeutic intervention per day. Located in Las Vegas, the program is for all residents of Nevada. NCEP offers day treatment, transitional living and home and community-based services.
The day treatment program is designed for those who are able to live in their own homes, but who need access to an intensive day therapy program. From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, NCEP provides occupational, physical and speech therapies, behavioral programming, neuropsychological counseling, life skills training, aquatic exercise therapy, substance abuse services and a vocational work re-entry component. Because the programs are tailored to the needs of the individual, the length of each program varies.
The residential program provides day treatment services and continues training, therapy and supervision for individuals who require 24-hour daily rehabilitation. Services are provided in apartments and nearby homes. These residential environments focus on functional activities of daily living, community orientation, mobility, social and behavioral skills, recreation and leisure and employment seeking. Environments are designed to meet the specific needs of each individual.
Through special legislative allocations and federal grants administered by the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, NCEP is able to provide full residential and/or day treatment services to brain injury survivors with third party payor support (at highly competitive rates) to those with Nevada Medicaid or to those who have more limited financial resources.
