The Center for Education and Human Services in Acquired Brain Injury was founded and chartered by George Washington University in June 2001 to conduct applied research and special projects that will help to increase the quantity and quality of education and training for professionals who can help to improve the lives of people with brain injuries and their families. The GW program offers a Graduate Certificate in Brain Injury: Educational and Transition Services, and other graduate programs with an emphasis in brain injury, and has been a leader in professional preparation in brain injury since 1992.
