The Leon S. Peters Rehabilitation Center at Community Medical Center treats patients with a variety of conditions. Patients with TBI or recovering from strokes receive a private room. Services include: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Therapy.
Since completing a 340,000-square-foot, six-story trauma and critical care building in 2007, Community Regional Medical Center has added a 52-bed Neuroscience Center of Excellence dedicated to brain and spine patients. A training site for the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program, the center also earned the "Center of Excellence" status.
The hospital has both an inpatient and outpatient program. The outpatient program is not on the CMMS campus and is located at 1925 East Dakota Street, Suite 120A in Fresno, CA.
Additionally, Community Regional Medical Center has received Advanced Certification from the Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Center.
