Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City
Founded in 1982 by Mary Pat Beals, the sister of a brain injury survivor, the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City was originally known as The Kansas Head Injury Association. The association's mission is to improve the quality of life for people with brain injuries and their families, and to promote prevention, research, education and advocacy. The Association offers support group meetings in several locations, schedules seminars and educational events, and promotes brain injury awareness.
