This study looked at the effectiveness of goal-directed, environment-focused occupational therapy (OT). It also looked at whether the therapy was more effective at home or in a day hospital. With this type of OT, the study subjects showed gains in functioning across all areas. And although there were higher levels of patient satisfaction when treated in the home, both the at-home group and the at-community-outpatient setting showed the same levels of success.
