CHI Health Immanuel Rehabilitation Center provides inpatient and outpatient services. The Brain Injury Program’s services include: a brain injury orientation group, rehabilitation neuropsychology support services, community re-entry, coordination with schools, driver's assessment and education, therapeutic recreation, and weekly family support group. The patient’s family is seen as an integral part of the rehabilitation process.
Program goals include:
• Regain optimal physical, communication and functional abilities
• Support/educate families and help them to adjust to their loved one's injury or trauma
• Increase social interaction
• Strengthen adaptive living skills
• Increase awareness and acceptance of functional strengths and limitations
• Promote return to community living
• Provide information about community resources.
