Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland, Inc.

Adventist Rehab’s Brain Injury Program is part of Adventist’s inpatient services. Adventist Rehab has two hospital locations: a free-standing 55-bed hospital next to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD and a 22-bed hospital located on the 5th floor of Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD. Adventist Rehab also provides outpatient rehabilitation services at both locations. Adventist has inpatient specialty Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditations in: Amputation, Brain Injury, Stroke, and Spinal Cord Injury.

Humanim

Humanim has five core service areas: Mental Health, Vocational, Neuro-Rehabilitation, Developmental Disabilities and Deaf Services. Services are available to children, adolescents, adults and older adults. The Neuro-Rehabilitation Services provides rehabilitation for individuals with neurological impairments who may be experiencing difficulties with speech, concentration, memory, planning, judgment, social skills, physical strength, coordination and balance. Staff will also address depression, anxiety, temper outbursts and personality changes.

Kennedy Krieger Institute-Broadway

The Kennedy Krieger Institute treats children and adolescents with disorders of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system.  The Institute’s Rehabilitation Continuum of Care (RCC) provides interdisciplinary rehabilitation services to children and adolescents with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy (primarily post orthopedic surgery) and other neurodevelopmental disabilities.

NeuroRestorative Maryland - Germantown

Located on five acres of land, our five-bed home in Germantown, Maryland offers a serene, therapeutic environment just outside the dynamic city of Washington, DC. Sinai Rehabilitation Center - Sinai Hospital of Baltimore

In operation for more than 20 years, the Sinai Rehabilitation Center treats patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly. The Sinai Rehabilitation Center provides services for patients disabled as a result of stroke, cancer, neurologic disorders, head injury, trauma, amputation, organ transplantation, and orthopedic conditions. There are three centers within the Rehabilitation Hospital: the Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, Traumatic Brain Injury Unit and Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit. All programs are JCAHO and CARF accredited.

Total Rehab Care at Meritus Medical Center

Maryland NeuroRehab Foundation (MNRF) is a neuro-rehabilitation program for patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, or other non-progressive neurological conditions. Patients in the brain injury rehabilitation program receive care on the same unit as other rehabilitation patients with a range of diagnoses and needs, but the brain injury program remains a separate program.

University of Maryland Rehabilitation Network - Midtown Campus

Each patient, along with their family, is encouraged to take an active role in designing their treatment plan. The Rehabilitation Center at Maryland General Hospital is accredited by CARF.  The Rehabilitation Center also offers outpatient services and its “Just For Kids” Program, which provides cognitive and physical rehabilitation for children from birth to 18 years of age. The program specializes in treating developmental delays, speech/language disorders, neurological injuries and disorders, traumatic and non-traumatic head injuries and congenital deficits.
